Hi, I’m trying to map my wordpress page to my domain. I just want to buy the domain mapping subscription for $13/yr. However, I’m unable to do that and it keeps asking me to buy annual subscription of premium upgrade for $99. Please do the needful. Thank you.

Currently, a domain mapping option is included in paid plans. Therefore, you need to upgrade your site to paid plans in order to map your domain to your WordPress.com site.
If you would not like to pay $99 per year, I recommend you to have the Personal plan. Please make sure that you navigate to https://wordpress.com/plans/ and purchase the plan first before trying to map your domain to your site. If you try to map your existing domain first, it will lead you to purchase the Premium plan which costs $99 per year automatically.

Yes. That’s right.
Once you upgrade your site to the Personal plan, you can map your existing domain to your site!!The following support page helps you map your domain. Please refer to it.

It worked! I had an issue with the browser still showing my wordpress address on the address bar. However, I fixed this issue by cloaking the address from my domain host.
