Domain Mapping

    I am trying to reestablish my wordpress account with a different domain name. The domain name is http://www.d-pah.org which has been purchased through domain.com. However, I cannot seem to map it to this account. I receive errors saying the domain name is already used on another account, which is incorrect. Please advise.

    Hi there,

    Have you followed the instructions for Domain Mapping here on the Use a Domain You Already Own page?
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

    It seems that your name servers have not yet been redirected to wordpress.com. (You need make changes thru the domain registrar and on your WordPress account.) Also, if you have done the redirect, keep in mind that it may take several hours for the changes to reflect across the web.

    Hi there,

    If a mapping upgrade expires or is cancelled by its owner, there is a waiting period before any other username can map the same domain. The domain, d-pah.org, was mapped to a different WordPress.com site belonging to a different username until a week ago, and is still in that waiting period.

    I can bypass the waiting period and help you add the domain mapping, but I’ll need you to comment here as the other username who originally had the domain mapping for that domain to confirm. Also please confirm to which WordPress.com site in your account you want to map the domain.
