Add topic to favorites
I have my own domain and want to use that as my blog name.. therefore it wont’ have wordpress in the title at all. I followed the instructions to do this, but it redirects to wordpress and then wordpress still shows in the title.

Is therefore anyway I can redirect my blog to my own domain? I have looked at the FAQ and it does seem to cover it in there, but makes little sense to me.

Can anyone help please??

If you login to your dashboard and navigate to Upgrades > Domains you should see the domain you’ve mapped in the list of domains. Next to it should be a link “Put your blog here”. Click that and your .wordpress.com will redirect to your mapped domain.

What is the new domain you’re trying to use? Sometimes it takes a day or so to settle into working properly.

the new domain is http://www.apieceofwood.co.uk.. it’s been up and running for a few days now..

It looks like you forgot to change your name servers over for that domain name. They should be pointed to ns1.wordpress.com and ns2.wordpress.com. Once those are set, the domain should resolve to your WordPress.com blog.

HI, but when i did that, it redirects to the wordpress blog, so that wordpress still then shows in the title, not just my own domain name.
