  Hi there,
  I want to build a website with WordPress whilst using my own domain. I have been given the option to ‘map’ my domain for $11 a year but then when I select this option I am redirected to a page instructing me I need to pay £3 a month. How do I pay for the domain mapping without purchasing any of the paid plans? Thanks.

  How do I pay for the domain mapping without purchasing any of the paid plans?
  You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan on your site in order to map a domain. Each paid plan comes with a free domain credit you can use to either register a new domain, or either transfer or map one you already own.

  It is not possible to map your domain without owning a plan first.
