Domain Mapping

  I supplied the web host with the info at “Instructions for Mapping an Existing Domain”, which I’ve done before with different WordPress.com blogs and a different service provider.

  They then replied:

  We cannot point the hosting of the domain to this currently as it will give us little control over technical support of this domain.

  Can you please request the IP address that we should point www. and explicit to and we will do it on our name server.

  Please help … I speak geek, but not fluently.

  We do not provide static IP addresses, so that unfortunately will not be possible.

  We can only support domain mapping via name servers.
