Domain Mapping

    Is there a way to have my domain directed to my WordPress.com page and my email stay entirely separate with Gmail? I previously had a WordPress.org account hosted by Bluehost and had to change the Resource Records.

    I’m basically wondering if I should do the domain mapping or if that would effect my email. I want to keep the WordPress account (and domain) completely separate from my email account, if possible.

    @thinkbeyondbehavior absolutely.

    You can transfer or map the domain, and keep the mail settings pointed to Gmail. You’re welcome to edit your DNS settings here however you’d like, in fact, whether the domain is mapped or transferred to our servers:

    If you bought G Suite through Bluehost, you might ask them to transfer the account to Google first… not because the mail would stop working, but because it can be less confusing for billing purposes.
