  I’d like to build a new site on WordPress.com before transferring or mapping the domain. Is this possible?

  Sure thing, @goodsharif. You’re welcome to use a free address until you’re ready.

  If you add plugins or third party themes, you may need to use a temporary domain. Staff will be able to help with this.
