domain mapping

Right now I registered my domain through Google and eNom. I don’t actually want to change that. It would be nice to be able to assign the www domain to my wordpress site. The domain mapping seems to be a feature of the Premium plan. Just want to understand what this domain mapping feature means in practice before I sign up for anything. I don’t want to disrupt the current services I receive through Google. Thanks.

    Hi brooklynanalyticsinc,

It would be nice to be able to assign the www domain to my wordpress site.

It’s possible to connect an existing domain to WordPress.com with domain mapping but we automatically remove the “www”, which means www.example.com will be redirected to example.com.

The domain mapping seems to be a feature of the Premium plan.

Domain mapping is included in all paid plans (Personal, Premium and Business) — you’ll need to choose the plan first and then choose the domain mapping option.

I don’t want to disrupt the current services I receive through Google.

Do you have email set up with Google (G Suite) for the domain you wish to map? Your emails should continue to working providing the MX records remain in place.
