Domain Mapping

  If I choose to use ‘domain mapping’, will this mean that the old website (to whom the already-existing domain belongs to), will be transferred to WordPress? Or will I still be able to design a brand new website from scratch, on WordPress?

  Domain mapping means that you will design a brand new website from scratch on WordPress.com because you’re using your existed domain name and your website will be hosted on WordPress.com

  Please be advised, if you are going to use domain mapping, you will need a WordPress.com plan for your site (such as a Personal, Premium or Business plan, etc.)
