  Are there any benefits to domain mapping with WordPress vs just moving all content from WIX to WordPress?

  Hi there,

  By using the Domain Mapping service you keep your domain with your current registrar and you point it to your WordPress.com site. The renewal of the domain will happen on your registrar and the renewal of your site plan will happen here at WordPress.com.

  By using the Domain Transfer service means that your domain’s registration is moved over to WordPress.com and we then become your registrar, so all future renewals of your domain and plan for your WordPress.com site are managed and paid on your WordPress.com account.
