Domain Mapping

  I own a domain which I want to use with a WordPress site I’ve created using the free sub domain. If I select ‘transfer my domain to WordPress’ do I still have to update the name servers or does this happen automatically?

  Hi There, yes you would have to update the name servers. Are you goung to be mapping or transferring the domain to WordPress.com?

  I thought to transfer my domain to WordPress. How do I update the name servers after I’ve transferred?

  Hi there,

  If you wait until after you transfer, updating the name severs on our end is literally just one click, but let us know if you run into any trouble.

  Also, if you currently have email connected to your domain, make sure the DNS for that is set up properly on our end before you change the name servers.
