Domain Mapping

  If I upgrade to the Domain Mapping feature, what will happen?

  I have alexheare.com, if I use the domain mapping as I log on will I be redirected from alexheare.com to alexheare.wordpress.com? Or would my blog sit in my own .com site. So alexheare.wordpress.com/about would become alexheare.com/about ?

  Yes, alexheare.wordpress.com/anything/ will turn into alexheare.com/anything/.

  Typing alexheare.wordpress.com/anything/ in your browser will still work, but it will automatically redirect to alexheare.com/anything/

  My website is not an example of how it would work, since it is not a wordpress.com website.

  Thank you very much.

  So, to clarify. My wordpress.com blog would be mapped into my own alexheare.com, and I could edit and update my wordpress.com blog as normal and it would appear in my own .com

  Exactly. The only difference is that the URL changes from alexheare.wordpress.com/anything/ to alexheare.com/anything/
  Everything else, editing and maintaining the blog, options and limitations stay exactly as they were before. It is just a name change.
