Domain mapping

  Hi, if someone could please help, I’d be very grateful. I have paid via wordpress for domain mapping for my wordpress.com blog, so it now shows up as http://www.tinaandchandi.com It works fine, but I thought (and as you can probably tell, I don’t exactly know what I’m doing) that by doing so, when I typed ‘tina and chandi’ into google search engine, my blog, which comes up top of the search results, would show tinaandchandi.com rather than my wordpress.com address. Strangely, some of the other pages on my blog ARE showing up as tinaandchandi.com in Google, but I don’t understand why the top search result (my homepage) isn’t. I have put tinaandchandi.com as my primary domain. It’s been 4 days since I did the mapping thing …. please can someone help?

  It depends on how many links to go tinaandchandi.com versus how many go to tinaandchandi.wordpress.com. It takes time, but eventually the new URL will outrank the old one, PROVIDED that on the Domains page you’ve set the new one as Primary.
