Domain Mapping
-
Hi,
I recently purchased the $99 bundle and mapped an existing domain (Borrom.net) registered on Hover. I previously used the same domain on another wordpress.com (username: borromblogs) account and requested for the domain to be deleted from that account and was told by support that it was deleted. However, whenever I log into that account under ‘My Blog’, the domain is still listed there.
I’m currently having problems using that same domain on this account and its been nearly 48 hours since I’ve changed the name servers on Hover to point at wordpress, and nothing seems to be working. I tried the Domain helper, and it brought up a red flag saying the domain has expired?
Could you please look into this issue and advice?
Many Thanks.

Hi Habib!
I’m looking at your account and I see that the domain mapping appears to be correctly configured on your WordPress.com account, however, when I look at the WHOIS information for borrom.net, I see that the name servers are still pointing to ns1.hover.com and ns2.hover.com, which is out of our control, since we do not manage this domain for you.
If you follow these instructions for mapping an existing domain, it should walk you through the process of getting the nameservers pointing to your WordPress.com site, after which, borromtech.WordPress.com should be reachable at borrom.net.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with!
