Domain Mapping
-
I started a new blog today: sharingevolution.wordpress.com. I attached a custom domain name (randyshares.net) to it that was attached to another blog: ssn612vet.wordpress.com. When I try to view the new blog, either by using the domain name or by clicking View in the My Blogs list, I see the ssn612vet blog. It seems that the mapping is incorrect.
I have cleared the browser history and cleared the cache per recommendations. The Domain Helper tells me that the settings are correct but randyshares.net is not set as the primary. Yet when I go under Domains on the My Blogs screen randyshares.net IS set as the primary domain.
The only other issue that I find is that the domain privacy is set to OFF despite that I paid for this and it is available. When I try to turn it on, I receive an error message.
That’s what I have tried so far, but I am still stuck.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Randy! I made some corrections for you as the mapping wasn’t quite switched all the way over to the new site. However, it could take up to 72-hours for your changes to propagate throughout the internet. Could you keep an eye on this and let me know when you’re up and running, or if you require any other assistance?
The only other issue that I find is that the domain privacy is set to OFF despite that I paid for this and it is available.
You domain is appearing as Private:
http://who.is/whois/randyshares.netWhere are you seeing that it is not?
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

Hi Robyn. I thought that the domain privacy showed as OFF when I went into the Domain Helper in the WP Help. But now that the Primary Domain setting there is correct it appears to have resolved.
Thanks for your help. I will be patient and wait for the change to propagate and will confirm with you when it does.

Hi again Robyn. Today it appears that the mapping is complete and I can now get to my blog from within WordPress and the custom domain is connected also.
Again thank you very much for your help. It is greatly appreciated.
