Domain mapping

  Hello,

  I’m interested in purchasing the ‘Collective theme’ upgrade for my wordpress.com blog, and i plan on mapping an existing second domain name to my site. My question is – The ‘Collective theme’ has a blog built in to it, and i’m wondering if i can have one domain name point to the main page, and a second domain name point directly to the built in blog page? Thanks in advance for your help.

  I’m afraid that is not functionality that WordPress.com offers. You can have as many domains as you like, but they will all point to the same place.

  Thanks for getting back to me. Is this a function that is available on a self hosted wordpress.org? Does this function even exist?

  Yes, you should be able to do that with a self hosted WordPress.org site.

  However, if you would like to double check that you can, you could post on (or search in) the WordPress.org support forums. I suspect someone there has come across this before:
