What is the domain, what WordPress site are you trying to map it to, and what steps did you try exactly?

I assume you were following the steps listed here:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

Were there any issues that came up during the process or did everything run smoothly? Also, what domain are you trying to map, and to what WordPress site?

fuckingmagical.wordpress.com is the wordpress site I have been working under. fuckingmagical.ca is the domain name I would like to use. I followed all the steps with no trouble, only now when I try fuckingmagical.ca it routes to an old site, upbuttercup.com.

Take a long walk around the block and wait for the changes to reach the far corners of the internet –

try clearing your browser cache & forcing a page reload

    Hold Your Horses!

It can take as long as 72 hours for DNS changes to become widely available. If you’re still not seeing your site loading at fuckingmagical.ca, please wait a few more hours, clear your browser cache, and try again.
    Nameservers Validated!

Congratulations! The nameservers appear to be set up correctly for fuckingmagical.ca.

I checked http://fuckingmagical.ca/ just now and it is working for me. The mapping looks like it took effect!
