I bought the domain mapping to redirect a domain name at ovh to my wordpress blog. But I get the message ‘dns needs to be updated, though I did it on my ovh administration page. Is there anything more to do on my blog ?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello there,

Could you please let me know the domain name? Additionally, should it be mapped to tsuica1.wordpress.com?

The only mapping I see that you’ve purchased for a WordPress.com site is tricord.fr which is mapped to tricord1.wordpress.com.

If you want to add mapping to tsuica1.wordpress.com, you can follow these instructions:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/#instructions-for-mapping-an-existing-domain

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

Thank you very much. I just want to map tricord.fr to tricord1.wordpress.com. I dont understand the explanations on your website for the mapping from ovh. I did 3 mappings in the CNAME field for http://www.tricord.fr towards ns1.wordpress.com, ns2.wordpress.com and ns3.wordpress.com. Is it supposed to be ok ?

    Hi again,

The name servers ( ns1.wordpress.com, ns2.wordpress.com, ns3.wordpress.com ) should be added at OVH.com. You need to “point” your domain to WordPress.com by changing its settings.

If you’re not sure how to do this, you can contact the support staff at OVH and tell them that you need to map your domain to a WordPress.com site. Let them know the name servers. They can help you complete the task.

It can take up to 72-hours for the changes to take effect once you make the adjustment.

Once that is complete, tricord.fr will point to your site, tricord1.wordpress.com.

Let me know how that works for you!
