  I paid for domain mapping and followed all of the steps to add the proper named servers in my DNS settings. Why do I still not see my domain.com as my site URL but rather mydomaindotcom.wordpress?

  For starters, nobody can help you until you give us the custom domain name that you mapped. That is required for anyone to check the status
