  I want to cancel a website host that I currently have my website url registered with. I reconstructed the website with wordpress as a test. Now I want to transfer the website url to wordpress. I have the free domain with the bundle with wordpress. What do I need to do now?

  Hi, the domain registration that comes with the bundle upgrade is only for new domain registrations. If you already have a domain registered elsewhere you’ll need to follow these steps to map it to your site.

  Hi, Yes I did that and everything worked. But what happens when this domain expires, which will be next week. Can I pick it up with you guys?

  Once a domain name is registered outside of WordPress.COM the domain registration can’t be moved to WordPress.COM – you can as noted above map the domain to a blog here but the registration needs to be kept outside WordPress.COM. If you don’t like your current registrar you can move it to another registrar – just not here.
