domain mapping?

  I have a domain and a website already up and running but I want to change to WordPress. I want my existing website to be ‘live’ until I have my WordPress website ready. My question is, will I loose my current website by building a new website through domain mapping with the same domain name?

  Yes, you will lose your current site if you set up domain mapping (and change the name servers) now.

  I suggest that you leave your current website up and running while you create a new site on WordPress.com. Once that’s ready to go live, then set up domain mapping.
