Domain mapping / account cancelation
-
i bought the domain matthewharmon.me october 16. Shortly after I tried to cancel. I have only now been back to manage my blog to find that the transaction was not canceled. Now I’m having problems with either the previous spirituallybankrupt.wordpress domain and the matthewharmon.me domain leading to my blog. I’ve tried everything at my disposal and can’t correct the issue. I did see it mapped to my blog when first signed back into wordpress tonight but I don’t know what I did to cause the problem I have now. I’m considering starting over completely but I can’t even find anything to remove my blog and my domains as well as my wordpress account to create a new one.

I partly resolved the issue. It was a matter of which name was the primary domain so I believe there was a problem with infinite looping with the domain mapping. However I was under the impression with the purchase of a domain name and mapping that matthewharmon.me would show as the url and spirituallybankrupt.wordpress would continual to direct to matthewharmon.me, my blog. is there a way to make that possible? Otherwise what was the point of purchasing the domain name if the old wordpress domain still shows as the primary url?

You just need to set your domain as primary via Store -> Domains in your blog’s Dashboard.
I’m not seeing the loop that you mentioned. Would you please set it back as primary so we can take a look?

when I go to Dashboard > Settings > Domains and set matthewharmon.me as primary domain there is a problem of too many redirects. I am using Chrome so I’m not sure if that is a contributor.
But when spirituallybankrupt.wordpress is set as the primary domain there is no problem. Right now matthewharmon.me is set as the primary domain leading to the looping error for you to see.
I went to Domains via the Store link, that is the same as through dashboard and settings and matthewharmon.me is set as primary.

I actually don’t see any problems at http://matthewharmon.me/
Can you please try clearing your local DNS cache?
