domain mapping and a premium account

  If I own a domain and want to map it, the site says I need to pay $13/month. Why is that more than the cost of a premium account ($8.25/month)? Does that mean I’d have to pay $4.75 per month indefinitely to map the domain I own to WordPress? Isn’t it a one-time transfer?

  Hi,
  In order to map a domain to your site, you need a Premium or Business plan, both of which come with one “domain credit” that can be used to purchase a new domain or map an existing one. If you want to map additional domains to that site, there is a $13/year charge for each domain.
