domain mapping and blog link

I set up domain mapping for my blog. It is done as a subdomain, not registered through WP. It’s working fine with respect to visiting that mapped subdomain shows my blog just fine, and visiting the blogname.workpress.com name redirects to my mapped subdomain OK (e.g. the really important things).
What I notice is that here in the forums, the name “motre” links to motre.wordpress.com (which is redirected OK) instead of directly to the mapped name. Yet some other bloggers do have their mapped name in that link. Is this just a difference due to the subdomain aspect I used?

No, it’s because at Gravatar.com and on your Profile page you have http://motre.wordpress.com/ in the spot for “website.” You can change things.

Ah, OK. I didn’t pick on the fact that those data items came from Gravatar rather than WordPress.com. So that means I could really point people to some other site, too?
BTW, it was yours that I was referring to with “Yet some other bloggers …” :-)

I was the first person on WP.com to get a custom domain, so I know all the tricks, believe me.
