Domain Mapping and Domain Transfer

    I have a new domain with another registrar which I would like to use with WordPress.

    Can I map this new domain for the time being — then transfer it to WordPress later(after the 60 day hold for new domains)? Will there be any fees with the transfer later? Thanks!

    Hi there,

    You can definitely map it for now, and only transfer later, yes.

    As long as you don’t use the free domain credit included in your plan for a different domain, there won’t be any additional fees when you transfer, no. Also note that the transfer will automatically renew your domain for an additional year.
