domain mapping and performance
-
Hi there…
I’d prefer to map my WP Blog to http://www.example.com rather than http://example.com
From what I’ve read, I need to:
1. Register my own domain name through something like Yahoo small business to get http://www.example.com
2. Purchase WP’s domain mapping to have my WP Blog show up at http://www.example.comHere’s my question: would doing this through Yahoo, for example, slow performance of my blog? Is registering through WP lead to smoother performance?
BIG THANKS!!

I’m pretty sure that the www always gets stripped out.
But no, it doesn’t affect performance or speed.

Thanks, for the reply-
I don’t mind if the www is stripped out…It’s more just finding the site…
Saying www. is easier to remember for some, than http:// -
guys, i own a domain called cafesandeep.com and now i’d like to link it to wordpress. can i do it for free? I’ve not hosted a site using the domain name yet…
