Hi I have a registered domain name http://www.example.com/ and a wordpress blog https://example.wordpress.com/. I want my blog posts to be seen on http://www.example.com/ and also all my https://example.wordpress.com/ visitors to be autoredirected to http://www.example.com/ .
Which option should I go for ?

Hi there,
Domain mapping allows you to manage your site from WordPress. This means you can make all the edits, publishing, settings, etc. from your WP account. If you map your WP site to your own domain, then your content will be shown on
http://www.example.com/ Even if you type https://example.wordpress.com/, the browser will change it to http://www.example.com/
You can find more information about domain mapping here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/Site Redirect is different. Usually, Site Redirect is used by people who chose to leave WordPress.com and be self-hosted and manage their sites elsewhere. So they will manage their posts and publish from another site builder. If they had traffic and public that already knew their https://example.wordpress.com/ , then they can purchase site redirect so that people who are used to that WP address will be redirected to the new domain specified. You can find more information here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/
It might sound confusing, but if you want to manage everything here in WordPress.com and use your own domain, then domain mapping is the option for you.
