Domain mapping and using current email

.. wonder if this is a good place to put my question ?
I’m about to upgrade my http://tuniatus.wordpress.com with a domain mapping. I’d love to have a few email address to go with it. I saw the Goggle App but would rather get rid of my actual Gmail. Any other Apps available for my new site ? I’d appreciate a LiveMail account, for instance.
Hope to get some reply, Cheers from Tuscany

When you use google apps, your email address would be (email visible only to moderators and staff). I don’t know if it is possible to have multiples or not. That is something you would have to research.

Gaaahhh, the software stripped out the sample email address I put in. Your email address using google apps would be you [at] yourdomain.com. Let’s see if that slips by.

As far as other services, live.com and yahoo, etc., do not offer anything like this. Only Google does – at least as far as I know.

And quite truthfully with all the issues I’ve had with my live email addresses, I would not want to rely on them for anything. The only thing I use them for anymore is if I sign up for something so that the junk emails I end up getting don’t fill my main inbox. At least half the time my email program tries to retrieve my live emails there is some sort of issue at live. Today it failed 20 times. Live email is a joke.

.. thanks for getting involved. I’ve completely quit on Yahoo, but have had good experience with Live or Hotmail, maybe because I’m running it with the present type of Outlook Express (Live package). I have Gmail on Office Outlook and it is unbearable ! Sycronization is crazy and it looks completely different, when you run it online, Outlook or mobile. Confusing and complicated is the least judgement from my side for gmail.
As Microsoft shipped all its “spaces” into WordPress, i guessed they would offer a service like Google .. looks like nada ..
    Cheers
