Domain Mapping 'ant workin!
-
Hey guys,
I’m having problems mapping my domain to the blog.
Under ‘My Upgrades’ the domain displays a ‘DNS needs to be updated. When I click through and try to point the name severs at my blog a get an error message reading…
‘We checked the nameservers and it looks like they’re not pointing to WordPress.com yet. If you recently updated them please check again soon. It can take a few hours for registrars to complete update their name servers.’
Any advice? The domain is culturehopping.net.
Cheers,

According to Godaddy.com your domain, culturehopping.net, isn’t registered. You first have to register the domain before you’ll be able to map to it. You can register it through an outside registrar and then map it to your wordpress.com site, or you can purchase it directly through wordpress.com, in which case the mapping is included. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

I thought I had paid for the domain when I upgraded to WordPress.com Premium?
Cheers,

It could be that something went wrong during the domain registration. I’ll tag this for staff to follow up. Please subscribe to the thread and be patient while waiting for a response.

Hi Matt,
I just removed that domain mapping for culturehopping.net from your blog and reset the free domain credit included in WordPress.com Premium. Can you try registering that domain again now? We have a guide for that here: Register a New Domain
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
