Domain mapping canceled before the expiry

Last January, I bought like every year the upgrade to domain mapping, in order to connect my site at wordpress.com to my custom domain. I’ve just learnt that mapping has been canceled in the sense that, when I type my custom domain name, I’m redirected to the wordpress.com site of mine. A so called happiness engineer told me that, in order to have a domain mapping, I have to purchase a paid plan. I can purchase a paid plan but only when my subscription period for domain mapping expires, that is next January.
This behaviour of yours is a clear violation of a contract term. I want the partial refunding for the remaining months or a coupon of the same amount to purchase a paid plan.

    Hi there!

It’s correct that domain mapping (now called Domain Connection) requires a WordPress.com plan. I see that you already have the WordPress.com Personal plan on epistemes.wordpress.com and the domain epistemes.org is not mapped but registered with us on WordPress.com.

In other words, you have a domain registration with us, and the domain epistemes.org does not redirect me to epistemes.wordpress.com as of now. Did you perhaps set the WordPress.com address primary by accident? Are you still having an issue with the domain on your site?

Here’s how I see the site on my end now:

Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.

Hello, when I wrote this post the situation was different than you can see now. Meanwhile, I made a deal with wordpress.com and avoided to move elsewhere my site. At least, for the next 12 months.

    Thanks
