Domain mapping cancellation

  Hi, I recently bought the one of the plans and had my domain mapped. The domain is http://www.wiblash.co.za. However I refunded my plan but everytime i go to my domain it is still mapped to the wordpress site. Could you please tell me how to cancel the domain mapping?

  Hi there, were you able to resolve this? I currently see a “coming soon” page on a red background when I visit your domain at wiblash.co.za/ (temp screenshot)

  DNS changes can take up to 72 hours (though usually sooner) and the domain owner is usually the last person who sees it. If you still see that you are being routed to WordPressdotcom, you may need to clear your browser’s cache and cookies. Here’s how you can do that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache

  Hi, I am definitely being redirected to wordpress and so is everyone I have asked to go to the link.

  When I go to my site I still see the wordpress NS in the DNS settings, are you saying that it will revert back to its original afterwards? It has been almost 72 hours and I still get redirected to wordpress. is it possible to check that wordpress no longer mapping the address to wiblash.wordpress.com as that is what I get redirected to when I go to wiblash.co.za

  Hello again, Besides updating your Primary domain here in your Domains dashboard to your WordPress.com address, in order to point your custom domain with http://www.afrihost.com to another web hosting provider, you need to log in to your domain registrar and update the DNS settings there to reflect that change. That’s not something that you can do from this end. However, looking at the WHOIS entry for that domain, I do still see them as using WordPressdotcom name servers. Again, you need to change that at your domain registrar.

  Hello –

  I’m following up on the modlook tag on the thread.

  When I try to visit wiblash.co.za in my browser I’m redirected to a free .wordpress.com site which does not exist any longer.

  Contact your domain registrar and ask them to point the domain to afrihost.com as justjennifer has suggested. These settings can only be changed through the domain registrar. The domain is not registered with WordPress.com.
