domain mapping change, I just want a free site

All of a sudden I’m getting an error:
‘Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.’
All of the options on the Domains Upgrades section costs money.
I just want a free page. I don’t do enough with my site to justify paying money for it. I didn’t get any warning that I’d have to start paying. What can I do to keep my free setup?Site: (email visible only to moderators and staff).

About an hour ago I updated an old entry, and when I first tried it I got an error message saying I was using an “incompatible browser” (Safari on Mac OS). So I tried Chrome instead, and got the same error, so I assume it was something weird on WP’s end, and clicked the “try it anyway” button. That let me edit the blog entry and save it just fine. But then I tweeted the link and someone said they were getting a “domain mapping upgrade” error trying to view the link (in Chrome and Firefox).
