Domain mapping check out not working?

  I am trying to pay £11 to get a domain mapping but when I try to pay, the check out is not working. There is no message to confirm the purchase, my cart still has the item in it and my billings history remains empty.

  I’d really like to get my custom domain working right. Please help! Your advice gratefully received…

  Hi Ben –

  Do you have a domain registered that you’re trying to map to your WordPress.com blog, or are you trying to register and map a domain?

  You said there was no confirmation message, was there any message? An error of any sort?

  Hi Bruce,

  Yes, I have a domain I bought through godaddy http://www.ben-starling.com that wordpress seems to recognise is there bc I could see it as as option in the process.

  There was no response, confirmation message of any sort anywhere. The billings history remained empty. Also the click confirm button kind of didn’t really look like it clicked either… I’m pretty sure my card was not charged – but I’d like it to be!

  Ben, do you have a forward or redirect set up on the GoDaddy side?

  Hi Bruce,

  I phoned godaddy awhile ago when I bought the url and they “pointed” it at the site. If I click on http://www.ben-starling.com then I do arrive at the wrodpress site and I can view all the pages on my site by clicking on the tabs.

  But if I look at the urls – they don’t change as I move from tab to tab. It just keeps saying http://www.ben-starling.com. (ie not http://www.ben-starling.com/contact or http://www.ben-starling.com/about….)

  Also I notice that although the links in the pages are okay, some links in the widgets don’t work when I access the site through http://www.ben-starling.com. But if I access it through the benhstarling.wordpress.com url then everything works fine.
