Domain Mapping Confused !!

  Hello all

  I am really getting stuck…

  I have a wordpress blog called whileoutsailing.wordpress.com and wanted to remove the wordpress part, so I got a wesite address from 123-reg which is whileoutsailing.com.

  I paid for the mapping for a year and changed the nameserver settings in 123-reg but I am getting confused with the primary domain and default blog address.

  when I make changes sould you whait a whie for the changes to go through the internet ?

  I thought everything was ok but now I am getting a too many redirect error when I enter whileoutsailing.com

  Any help will be great

  Both whileoutsailing.com and whileoutsailing.wordpress.com are coming up as the same site for me right now.

  If you just made the change, it could take a few days for you to notice it at your location (your local DNS server that your computer looks addresses up with probably has the old IP address cached and won’t check for the new address for awhile due to TTLs).
