Domain mapping confusion

  Hello,
  I have a very old blog with wordpress.com http://chakresh.wordpress.com I decided to upgrade it. So, I purchased a new domain name from a third party chakresh.com
  I have changed the name server also with my domain provider. Also I paid $13 for domain mapping in wordpress.com
  Still I am not able to add chakresh.com as the address of my old blog. It shows error that this domain is already mapped to a wordpress blog. I am not able to understand what am I doing wrong. Can somebody please help.
