Domain Mapping Error
-
I recently paid to transfer my domain name chroniclesofdesign.com from wordpress.com to bluehost. During the transfer process I changed the nameservers to those suggested on the bluehost website. Everything was confirmed successful about a week ago. However, I am unable to access my website and instead get this error message “Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.” When I click login, I am redirected back to WordPress.com. I contacted Bluehost via LiveChat and was told to contact WordPress support as the issue seemed to be this end. I am incredibly frustrated and have read through a number of forum posts, faq’s and site posts to no avail.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I wish that we could help. However, as the domain has been transferred away from WordPress.com to a new registrar, we have no control over it or its DNS settings any longer.
I am seeing the nameservers as pointing to Bluehost:
https://who.is/whois/chroniclesofdesign.com
However, something is causing the domain to still point to WordPress.com. However, this is not anything that can be caused or changed by WordPress.com because the domain is not registered here any longer. You might check and make sure that there are no A Records pointing to a WordPress.com IP.

Thank you so much. That’s actually incredibly helpful. In looking at my A Records on Bluehost, what should I be looking for that would indicate a WordPress.com IP?
-
I really cannot offer much help regarding a domain registered with Bluehost, Their support team should be able to assist you.
However, the two most common IPs for WordPress.com would be:
192.0.78.25
192.0.78.24

Hello, I just created a site on squarespace at: https://fidelis-odozi.squarespace.com/config#/|/
I had a wordpress.com site where I mapped my domain (newageartsalon.com) that I purchased from “gandi.net” to. I deleted the WordPress site yesterday and have changed DNS zone values on my domain registrar (gandi.net), to the values given to me by Squarespace but when I type in “newageartsalon.com” I get the following message: “Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.”
Anyone have any idea what is going on? Thank you.

I am seeing newageartsalon.com point correctly to your SquareSpace site.
It can take 24-48 hours for domain/DNS changes to propagate throughout the internet. It typically happens faster than that, but it really depends on your ISPs update frequency.

Hi — The code squarespace gives as the DNS ‘host’ keeps coming up as invalid when I try to map it to my domain on WordPress. Is there a step i’m missing?

Can you be more specific? What are they giving you? What is the domain you are trying to point to WordPress.com?
