Domain mapping error
-
Hello, I feel like I’m banging my head against a brick wall here. Last night I renewed my domain with bluehost and mapped it to a new wordpress.com site. I’ve missed the simplicity of wordpress in the past year that I’ve been self-hosted.
I changed the name servers at bluehost and they confirmed that the URL http://www.moomads.com is not pointing to them anymore. I imported my website from wordpress.org to wordpress.com (I had some issues with media files but I think I’ve got them safely across now).
I kept seeing the original website that was linked to wordpress.org so I deleted the files at bluehost to get rid of that site thinking that it would then show my new mapped domain wordpress. I can see all of my posts and pages in wordpress.com dashboard but when I search for my homepage I get an error message.
It says ‘ Not Found
The requested URL / was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache Server at http://www.moomads.com Port 80 ‘Can anyone help me please? :(
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi
Is everything right now? I can see that your http://www.moomads.com is now pointing correctly to a WordPress.com site. :)
Probably what you experienced was a domain propagation span (from 0 up to 72h after configuration your domain may still be pointing at your previous server).

Thank you so much. I checked again and it was still showing the error but I cleared my cache and history and it’s showing perfectly now. Stupid me being impatient. Haha.
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly!
