Domain mapping error

    Hi there,

I need help with the domain mapping error I keep receiving. I urgently need this issue to be resolved! Each time I put the URL http://asmeproductions.com into my browser it keeps rendering to the https version that I had with WordPress and then I receive the error message. I know your engineers are on a retreat but I’ve been advised by your staff staff-ozmodiar to start a new thread in order for staff to provide support, so here it is. I appreciate a speedy response.

    Thank you.

  • Hi there,

Do you mean that you’re getting a SSL certificate error if you try to load your site because it loads over http instead of https?

That is actually caused by your browser. When your site was with us we gave it SSL for free so it would load over https. We also set a header in your browser that tells it to always load that domain over https. There is no way to remove that header, but your browser should automatically clear it in a few days at which point you’ll stop seeing that warning.

I can load the http version of your domain without it redirecting the https or showing any errors, and so should most of your visitors as long as they’ve not recently visited your site while it was still mapped to us – if you look at your site in a different browser that you don’t usually use you also shouldn’t see the error.

    Thanks, that explains it :)
