Domain Mapping Expired
-
We would like to see our DNS records. When we log in, we see no sign of our domain (tgf.co.nz) except a message stating domain mapping expired. How can we see our DNS records? Can WordPress send us a zone file?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, if the zones are still on our servers, you can look them up on a site like this one:
https://www.digwebinterface.com/
Put your host name in the left, and “specify myself” with ns1.wordpress.com for the nameserver on the right. Note if we don’t have zone files anymore, it’ll just show whatever your current DNS specifies.
You can choose the type of record you’re looking up as well.
Hoping that helps!

Also, just to clarify, are you hoping to re-map the site here? If so you would still need a domain mapping upgrade for it to work. The zone files alone wouldn’t do it.
If you’re just looking for specific settings (like MX) that other way ought to work though.

Thanks supernovia
We’re ok with looking up the usual stuff like A records for www and MX records, but we’re wanting to check that there aren’t some unusual records we’re not aware of. No way to see the records WordPress.com has or to get a zone file?

Hi there,
We don’t have a way to provide you with the zone file itself, but I’ve uploaded a screen shot of the DNS records you had added with us to your site’s media library at https://thegoatfarm.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php
It looks like you have that domain pointed at Squarespace, so there’s really no reason to have a domain mapping with us. If you point your name servers back to your domain provider’s defaults, and add the DNS records there instead, things should work as normal again.

That’s fantastic! Thanks kokkieh. Yes, the plan was to move to another DNS provider, but we wanted to make sure we moved all the records over. Looks like we got all the important ones. Have a great day.
