Domain mapping expired Jan, now can not renew?

    Trying to renew petmemphis.org mapping to memphistnuspet.wordpress.com

    Original mapping was purchased by memphistnuspet user but that user no longer associated with the website. Somehow I was able to renew it previously using my credit card (still shows my last 4 digits), but not anymore.

    Shows expired mapping Jan 2014. But it will not let me renew now. When I select domain mapping, it says to enter the domain, I enter it and then it gives error saying that domain is already mapped at wordpress.com.

    Saw question before that indicated WP had to change the upgrade mapping feature to new user–but nobody in support for a week? !! ??

    No, there is not a Renew Now button.

    I can see a Renew Now button on another site with domain mapping expiring in Nov but I was the original purchaser on that one.

    I even tried removing the original purchaser but it said I didn’t have permissions to do that (we are both Administrators, but the other one setup the account originally.).

    Something with the Gift Renewal is not correct – I just checked on my test blog (that has domain mapping expiring soon) – and even as a second Admin I can’t process a renewal

    I have flagged this for staff attention – but they are backed up at this point

    The intent of a Gift Renewal was to let others renew upgrades without needing to transfer the upgrades to another user – easier sharing of expenses and most important to keep upgrades from expiring and crashing a blog when the upgrade owner can’t be reached (left the company / group, on vacation etc.)

  • I have removed the expired mapping from our system, so you should be able to “renew” it now by purchasing it yourself via Store -> Domains in your blog’s Dashboard.
