Domain Mapping Fee – Refund
-
I cancelled domain mapping the same day as I was charged since I’m not using WordPress anymore for that domain. I should have received a credit to my account.
Thanks
Christine

You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel an upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew.
WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.
Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

Thanks for the info. I’ve done all that, and was still charged. Therefore, I disputed via PayPal and now they’re trying to charge me a $20 dispute fee… Ridiculous.

It sounds like you failed to disable auto-renew. I typed modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help. Hi again – Thanks. I just received an e-mail as a result of disputing on Paypal. Looks like if I cancel the dispute, I won’t be charged the $20 and they can take care of my refund.
They wrote:
A chargeback occurs when you contest a payment via your bank, credit card company, or PayPal, instead of canceling your purchase through WordPress.com. When this happens, the transaction is reported as unauthorized or fraudulent, and we are fined $20 by our payment processor for each occurrence.
If you would like a direct refund, please cancel the dispute on the payment so that I have the option to refund the charge. While the dispute is active I do not have the option to issue a refund.
If you prefer not to cancel the dispute or it is too late, you will be refunded once the payment provider has completed the dispute resolution, which can take up to 75 days. In this case you can restore posting capability to your site (if you’d like) and continue using your blog by clicking the link below to take care of the chargeback fee.
Once you’ve submitted your payment or lifted the dispute, just reply back to let me know and I will assist you in restoring your site or refunding your original payment. Thank you!
