domain mapping for the free plan

  I have mapped a previous site on WP to one of my domain names I own on the free site plan, is that no longer an option and I have to pay?

  Hi there,

  It is not possible to set free sites to use a custom address, they can only use the ‘wordpress.com’ address that is assigned to them at the time of creation.

  However, you can map a custom domain to your site by upgrading to any of the plans we list here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  All our plans, from Personal to eCommerce include the domain mapping option you can use to set your site at a custom URL.
