Domain Mapping GoDaddy

I have a domain registered at GoDaddy that I want to use for my WordPress.com blog. I have set up the nameservers in GoDaddy and purchased the upgrade for WordPress.com. The GoDaddy Domain Manager states that the nameservers have been resolved. I called GoDaddy this morning and the agent said she could see my website at my purchased domain name. Which is odd because I did not have the domain set up as the primary domain in WordPress at the time. I cannot get to the site when I do add the domain to my blog. The domain is indiana-homeschool.net. Can someone help?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • http://indiana-homeschool.net/ appears to be working properly.

It can take domain changes up to 72 hours (though usually much less) to propagate to your ISP. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your ISP refreshes their DNS cache.

So you can see the site as well? I just get the GoDaddy welcome to indiana-homeschool.net screen. I assumed since it said the nameservers were resolved on GoDaddy, it was ready to go. I was wondering if I had something set incorrectly. I will give it more time. Thank you!

  • You’re welcome!

Yep, I see your WordPress.com blog too. I’d say give it a few more hours, or try again tomorrow if you just made the change today.

Yay! It is up and working. Thank you for replying to my question. Patience is such a hard thing to have these days.
