    What happened to our domain mapping? Approximately last May 24th -26th we purchased $17 for domain mapping for the URL (we own) http://www.repatterningjournal.com to map to our wordpress account http://www.rpajournal.wordpress.com. I know it was working because myself and a group of volunteers were at the site almost every day for 6 months using http://www.repatterningjournal.com to get to our wp.com admin panel.

    Two days ago i noticed that the url now produces a page not found error. Logging into the account as an admin there is no recent record of this mapping. IT only refers to receipts from 2013 and before.

    Laura Frisbie is our administrator at (email visible only to moderators and staff) and would have paid it. She can’t find the receipt. Our other domain worldpeacehologram.com was paid with the card ending: [redacted].

    Its like its just disappeared! Can you help us get this domain mapping back? I don’t know what else to do.

    Hi, @presidentrpa!

    If you go to your Domains page for the site does the domain show in that list?

    If I click the link to repatterningjournal.com it tries to direct to repatterningjournal.wordpress.com, which doesn’t match up with your site name listed above. I’m admittedly no expert in how the domain redirects work, but is there a chance it might just be a mismatch issue? Has the WordPress.com site name changed at all recently?

    The purchase for the year would only be under the account of the person who paid for it, not any other administrator on the same site. It sounds like that renewal was missed, but I’m tagging in staff to confirm that.

    Hi there,

    Our logs show the domain, repatterningjournal.com, was registered with us, not mapped, from June 2013 to June 2015. The last payment we received regarding that site was in May 2014, and that payment was made by the user, laurafrisbie. Neither that account nor yours have made any payments since then – the last payment made by the presidentrpa account you’re using to post here was in June 2013.

    In May last year I replied to you in https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/domain-pointing-28/, explaining how to add a domain mapping upgrade to the site, and that this will require a paid plan. You did not reply to that thread again.

    It appears that when I checked the domain at that time it triggered an automated process on our end that temporarily restored a mapping upgrade to the site – our system still seemed to think for some reason that the domain was mapped here, even though the actual mapping upgrade was removed when the domain itself was removed in 2015. That mapping was then removed at the end of December when it expired.

    To add a new domain mapping for this domain you’ll first have to upgrade the site to a paid plan, as I also explained in May.

    Our other domain worldpeacehologram.com was paid with the card ending: [redacted].

    Please never post credit card info, even partial info, in a public support forum.

    That domain is associated with a completely different WordPress.com site, and belongs to a completely different WordPress.com account. The card used to pay for that domain has not been used for any other payments on WordPress.com.
