Domain Mapping – How to delink the domain and the blog?

    Hi

    I purchased the domain shaileshkapoor.com through wordpress.com, and mapped by blog shaileshkapoordotcom.wordpress.com to this domain.

    It is working fine. What I wanted to know is that – In the future, if I wanted to point my domain shaileshkapoor.com to some other page (e.g. a website of my own), how will I delink the domain and the blog? And how will I gain access to my domain shaileshkapoor.com? After buying the domain from wordpress.com, I did not get any registrar details, so I have no email/ details of my ownership of shaileshkapoor.com

    Please help with the required details.

    To point the domain you registered at WordPress.com to another server (hosting service), please follow the instructions here.

    Note you will need to obtain the name server values from your current host. You should be able to find them on their support documentation, or contact them and ask for the information. (Name servers may be referred as “nameservers” or “NS records” instead.)
