Domain Mapping & Image Hosting
-
I’m trying to figure out what is the best way to go for my effort. I have a domain (cjnstudios.com) but tired of trying to manage via Dreamweaver or other tools – I prefer to easily add content via blog. However, from time to time I also need to host images for people to review that’s not associated with a blog. So I’m not sure if I do domain mapping so my cjnstudios.wordpress.com to http://www.cjnstudios.com will break my ability to FTP content to my hosted site? Is this something where I’d be best pursuing self-hosted blog such as tools from WordPress.org?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Domain Mapping does not give you FTP access to your blog
Everything would work the same as it does with http://cjnstudios.wordpress.com/ now – just the address will change that visitors see

You will not be able to use FTP on a WordPress.com blog. You can host images on one just fine, but they will have a URL of the format http://whatever.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/filename.jpg rather than http://whatever.com/2013/04/filename.jpg
