Domain mapping, is domain renewal included in Premium Package?

If I transfer a domain, who do I pay to annually renew it? Do I still pay the site where I originally purchased the domain name, or is it included in the premium package? I’m trying to determine what my yearly cost will actually be. I have a domain registered on on a hosting site and currently have it pointed to a Blogger site. I’d like to move to WordPress and am trying to figure out the best options for me. Thanks.

If you already have a domain registered elsewhere you can’t transfer it to WordPress.com as they don’t accept incoming domain transfers. If you want to use that domain with a WordPress.com blog you’ll need to keep renewing it with your current registrar and then buy the domain mapping upgrade from WordPress.com to point it to your WordPress site.
If you buy the premium bundle, in other threads I’ve seen staff confirm that you can add domain mapping instead of registering the new domain included in the bundle if you already have your own domain.
