Domain mapping is not working even though I have followed the instruction
-
Hi There,
I was trying to map my own domain to my wordpress blog. Although I have followed the instruction provided in following like https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
after more than 4 days it’s not still working. I have contacted my domain provided (domain.com) and this is what they said:I could see that the nameservers are updated correctly. In order to resolve the website issue, I suggest you to contact the hosting service providers ‘WordPress.com’
The nameservers are resolving properly to WordPress.com. However, A record of the domain is pointing to us so please contact WordPress.com and update the A record to their IP address in order to access the website. Please advise :(
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What is the domain you are trying to map?

According to the search I just did here, https://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-helper/ your name servers are currently set as follows:
Name Server: NS1.DOMAIN.COM
Name Server: NS2.DOMAIN.COMThose need to be changed at your domain registrar to:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMPlease refer again to the steps in this Support doc to map your existing domain with your WPcom site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
If that doesn’t solve the issue, please let us know.

I got a domain name from http://easy.gr and i tried the above solutuions but it still does not work.
Do i have to wait for something more ?
My Developer told me that ns1.wordpress.com and ns2.wordpress.com is enough.
Do i really need the thrid ns3.wordpress.com ?
Thank you in advanced. -
Try also with ns3.wordpress.com and if anything works contact the Staff who’ll have at look at it.
Please check also the links justjennifer posted below if you haven’t done yet.
Cheers :)

Thanks @stefaniamattana
@jerryperes – I’m not sure of the domain you registered at easy.gr, but it should not contain the full word “wordpress.” Here’s why https://wordpress.org/about/domains/

@justjennifer, thanks for your response… I have forwarded the information to my domain provider and will let you know as soon as I have a response from them :)

@justjennifer, my domain provider came back to me with the msg that ” they have re-updated nameservers for the domain name devopspro.net pointing to wordpress servers.”
guess what? It is fixed now :)
This is so weird as I have asked them 3 times and every time they came back to me saying that everything looks fine and that the domain name is pointing to the wordpress DNS servers… but this time when I sent them the information you provided, apparently they decided to pay a bit more attention and they’ve got it fixed. :)
Appreciate your help :)
