Domain mapping isn't working

  I followed the instructions in the Support section, but when I click Map Now nothing happens. Help???

  Hi there. Two questions:

  1) Do you already have a free WordPress.com address? You need something to map the domain to, otherwise it won’t work. Please provide the URL of your WordPress.com address to enable us to help you further. If you don’t have a free WordPress.com address yet, follow the instructions here to register one: https://en.support.wordpress.com/create-a-blog/

  2) Do you already own the custom domain? You need to register that first before you can map it to your WordPress.com blog.

  I am having same issue mapping to a squarespace site. I see that multiple posts have been started regarding domain mapping not working..any chance this has been fixed yet?

  If you want help you have to provide specific information:

  1)Do you own a free WordPress.com address? What is it?

  2)Do you own a custom domain you’re trying to map? What is that?

  3)At which point in the process are you getting stuck? If you see a specific error message, please copy it into your reply.

  I am having same issue mapping to a squarespace site.

  If you’re trying to map your custom domain to a site hosted by squarespace, then this isn’t a WordPress.com issue, but a Squarespace one. Domain mapping on WordPress.com is only for connecting a custom domain you already own to an active, free WordPress.com blog.

  silverarch.ca is set as the primary domain for silverarchphoto.wordpress.com and will appear in the address bar when you visit the site.

  @jbabra – take a long walk – do not adjust anything – come back in a day or two – try clearing your browser cache and forcing a page reload – you will be the last one to see the changes

  http://silverarch.ca/ – loads fine for me to a site for a photographer

  Thanks guys;

  I ended up figuring it out myself. I hadn’t created the free blog yet, so it had nothing to map to. The Help topics here are not very clear in this regard. Nor are they very clear in how to go about purchasing the Custom Domain Upgrade.. which I also found myself.
