Domain Mapping Issue
-
Hi,
We have received complaints from our customers that our site is down and when I rang the hosting company they directed me to yourselves and said that the problem is a domain mapping issue. Our domain is coolefencing.com which is redirected from coolefencing.wordpress.com.
We are approaching the busiest time of the year for us and we are anxious to ensure the site is up and working correctly? I appreciate any assistance you can provide?
Thanks
Irene Parker

Hey @irenefagan
I see what you mean about the domain mapping issue. I have tagged a moderator to help look into this further.
In the mean time I would suggest taking a look at your Domain section to make sure the domain is still listed there. This article will help verify that all that is set correctly. It is very possible that your plan could have expired and not auto-renewed causing you to lose the domain mapping.
A moderator should respond back to you very shortly to help figure that out, thank you for your patience.

Hi –
The domain mapping upgrade expired and was removed from the account. This is what caused the error you were seeing and why the site would not load.
I’ve restored the upgrade and can view the site again at coolefencing.com. Please confirm that you can do so as well. Once I hear back I’ll send a manual payment link to you through email for the upgrade.

Hi,
Thanks for this. I think everything is fine with the site but I will keep any eye on it over the next few days and see if we get more traffic.
Please send on whatever is required regarding the domain? I thought it was on a rolling arrangement and would not therefore expire.
Thanks again,

Hi Irene –
The upgrades are set up with auto renewal by default. If the auto renewal fails then you will get an email from us about that.
These emails are sent to the address on the account at wordpress.com/me/account/
I’ve sent the payment link to that same address. Take care :)
